In 2018, after leading a small fellowship of Chicago area churches for 17 years, the Lord spoke to Ivan in a dream, directing him to go West. During the height of the pandemic, Ivan and Cheri started ministering online as Thrive Christian Ministries to meet the spiritual needs of family and friends.
Through a number of confirmations, the Lord continued to impress upon them a move West. On a trip to Tempe, AZ during a season of fasting and prayer for discernment, a chance meeting of pastors praying on “A” Mountain for the Lord to send workers to the area, helped solidify the decision!
Moving by faith and a sense of urgency, Ivan and Cheri relocated in July 2022 to the Phoenix area to plant ministry. On March 26, 2023 Thrive Christian Ministries will launch in person services in both Surprise and Tempe!
Our destiny is to be a ministry known for its purity and power, exercising spiritual dominion with regional and global impact. We will be a wellspring of spiritual formation, fervent prayer, supernatural deliverance and dynamic praise. We will be relentless and uncompromising in our pursuit of Jesus Christ as His special vessels used for His extraordinary glory.
This ministry will effectively equip the saints, feed the spiritually famished, and meet the growing needs of the masses, regardless of economics, ethnicity, class or culture. Wherever Thrive Christian Ministries is established will be an oasis of blessing and refreshment. The magnitude of this work is beyond our collective imagination. As our future unfolds, we will not cease to proclaim the kingdom of God in word and deed until the Lord comes. Amen!
